Patriots Pride Day at Landscaping By J. Michael

While the rest of the world seems to be slowly shifting gears back into work and school mode, the J. Michael crews have been going hard all summer, and are even gaining momentum with the arrival of fall, or as we like to call it, football season! There’s a lot to be excited about in the Green Industry in September, especially as calls start rolling in for popular fall services! In fact, we’ve noticed there a few things on everyone’s mind this time of year, including fall cleanups, irrigation turn-off appointments, and the Patriots! So here at J. Michael, we’ve decided to combine our love of the Pats, with our mission to highlight important fall services.

The staff at J. Michael will be celebrating Patriots Pride Day on Thursday, September 7th! Employees will be sporting their Patriots hats and jerseys, and digging into some free food! One of the coolest aspects of Patriots Pride Day is that we will be setting up our neat, old-fashion looking hotdog steamer in the office lobby, so that our visitors can join in the festivities! Of course, anyone who stops by is welcome to ask us about the various techniques used on lawns and landscapes when the weather starts to cool down.

Which services have you scheduled for fall? Our experts usually recommend core aeration around this time. Core aeration is the process of plugging holes into the grass to help roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn. This technique allows nutrients to reach the plants’ roots, and prepares the lawn for the dormancy that lies ahead. Questions? Come enjoy a hotdog tomorrow, and ask our team about core aeration, or schedule an estimate for your property!

After all, we don’t all have the luxury of the Pats players, who will enjoy Gillette Stadium’s newly upgraded synthetic turf surface, a revolutionary system featuring the highest performing monofilament fiber to create a resilient and durable field! Their state-of-the-art turf is super strong and even looks real! Who would have thought turf could be such a fascinating topic? (We did!)

See you tomorrow for Patriots Pride Day!
